In a quiet grove, beneath the Bodhi tree, A seeker sat in peace, his mind set free. In stillness deep, where whispers of truth entwine, Buddha found a path, both yours and mine.
The Four Noble Truths, the starting light, Of suffering’s cause, and end in sight. First, life has suffering, we all endure, From birth to death, and so much more.
Desire and craving, they fuel the flame, Attachment’s bond, it stakes its claim. But let go, and peace we can attain, The end of suffering, the release of pain.
The Eightfold Path, the noble way, To guide our steps, to lead our day. Right view, right intention, pure and clear, Right speech, right action, free from fear.
Right livelihood, and effort true, Right mindfulness, and concentration too. These steps we walk, with hearts aware, Finding wisdom, love, and care.
In mindful breath, and thoughts serene, In acts of kindness, calm and clean, We seek the truth within, and find, The Buddha’s teachings, clear and kind.
In every moment, be awake, In every step, the path we take, To find Nirvana’s tranquil shore, And suffer’s end, forevermore
